Baking Spirits Bright

Hey there crafty friends!
Hard to believe that July is coming to an end!  This summer is going by way too fast for me!

I snuck in one last Christmas in July project!

Isn't that mouse just adorable!!  He came from Treasure Box Designs Village Cookies File.
I thought this would make a perfect tag for a plate or box of goodies to give away during the holidays!

A little bit buggy!

Hey there crafty friends!
Today I have a special project to share with you.  I have a very special friend who recently had to move into a long term care facility.  I've been trying to make her room feel more like home.  I decided to do a bulletin board with a theme for each month, holiday, etc.  So here is my first installment :)

I realized after doing this square bulletin board, that a rectangular one might have been a bit easier to design...but who wants anything to be easy, right?

I used several files from Treasure Box Designs to make up this scene!

The title is the Month of the Year...August

The bugs are from Cute as a Bug

The owl in the picture above is from the Tiny Treasure Collection as is the Sun and clouds and the squirrel

The Bird on the swing is from the Spring is in the Air file, and the tire swing and frog is from the Treetop file.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Happy H-owl-idays

Hey there crafty friends.
I thought I would do a little "Christmas in July" project.  It's hard to think about Christmas, when we just recently started having summer-like weather.  But December 25th will be here before we know it.  Maybe this year I will be prepared and not stressing at the last minute!!!

Here is what I came up with!

I used the TBD freebie this week...Christmas Owl and the Pocket peeker file for the little pocket...and voila..you have a cute little holiday treat.  Obviously I would hope to find some "Christmasy" candy to put inside, but these Reese's cup will have to do for now!  The adorable sentiment is from Craftin Desert Diva's Holly Day Punnies. I will be entering this into their current linky party!

Seeds of Happiness

Hey there crafty friends!!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!!!
I thought I would do a summery type project to share.  I've seen these chocolate covered sunflower seeds at the checkout of the craft store and as I was going through my TBD files trying to find something I've never made before this one caught my eye as the perfect companion for these little goodies!!!

I used the Teddy Bear for outfits and Garden Girl files from Treasure Box Designs.  These are such fun files to work with!!!
The stamp sentiment is from Craftin Desert Diva's   Summer Lovin' stamp set.
Speaking of Craftin Desert Diva's...I have some exciting news.  They recently had a guest DT call and I was chosen to be a guest DT for the month of August!!  I'm so excited! I'm also entering this project into their current Linky party.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Congrats card

Hey there crafty friends!!
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend.  We are very lucky to have our daughter, son in law and grandchildren visiting this week!!  They live in Arizona so we don't get to see them too often, so we are enjoying every minute.

Today I'm sharing a card.  I have a very special friend, Angela,  that resides in a nursing facility. One of her physcial therapists has taken a position at another hospital and Angela asked me to make a special card for her. This is what I came up with!

I used lots of Treasure Box Designs files to come up with this little cutie!  The base is the Get Well Card, the bear came from Patchwork of love, the dumbells came from Let's get physical and the "walking bars"and the banner on the clipboard  came from the Tumble file!!!  I just love how you can mix and match the files up to create something unique!!!
The stamp sentiments are from Craftin Desert Diva's Say it Big and Be Inspired stamp sets!

On the Road Again!

Hey there crafty friends.
Summer is finally here so that means there will be lots of traveling going on.
Now, I know, times have definitely changed since my son was younger and we had to keep him entertained in the car. With all the electronic gadgetry available now, I can't imagine that any child ever gets bored in the car anymore.  However, I thought this would make a cute little gift to give to a little one to make the ride a bit more fun!!

I made this little travelers survival kit with simple items I found at the dollar store!  It all fits nice and tidy right in the box.

I purchased the gable box at Hobby Lobby.  It is quite sturdy ...but I would probably recommend reinforcing the bottom w/ some heavy duty tape.

I decorated the box on all 4 sides.  Here are some close ups.

The adorable SVG files are from the On the Road Again file at Treasure Box Designs.
The stamp sentiments are from the Destination Fun stamp set at Craftin Desert Diva's.
The background paper,  Away we go sign, postcard and labels I stamped the sentiments I did as print and cuts from Nitwit Collections Away we go kit.
